Sometimes I get seriously jealous of my dog

Look at her
All she does is sleep

Here I am with towers of homework
A battlefield of notes
And a beat up backup
Fighting for its last breath
But then there are moments
Bright ones
Human connections
That make me glad I’m not a dog
But I suppose
I could take a page from my dog’s playbook
And live like her for a day
Once in a while
