Red Haired Evangeline

Selena Molinari '24

It’s not emerald
Not so pale and depressing its
A vibrance you think you see in
Dollar bills but seen most plainly in
Everything but
The draw of a modern economy
Fresh grass on a fresh-feeling day
Fiery red hair coats the strands of
Brilliant green
Her hair and the grass mesh so
Beautifully
I imagine her name is
Evangeline
Not a dollar to her name
But a few scents for her thoughts they
Stay in rivers and banks
The ponds of Intricate ponders
Never cast Away
For my dear
Red haired Evangeline
