Had Alice’s wonderland been more of a charming place, it might have looked something like this: a garden just as colorful as a young girl’s dreams, thronging with bushes and flowers that grow taller than she could ever reach. Encircling Alice is a rainbow which emphasizes the nostalgic intentions of the piece; as a child, I had a deep fascination with the rainbows that would often appear in my room as reflections and refractions of sunlight. This watercolor painting, outlined in marker, serves as a reminder of the joy of childhood.
