This is an image of the Horsehead and Flame nebula captured in suburban skies. Both of these nebulae are emission nebulae, meaning that the heat and energy of the nebula itself causes the gas to glow with specific wavelengths. In this case, the red Hydrogen alpha light is emitted. These nebulae are located within the Orion constellation.
