Pomelo is one of my favorite fruits, and I captured a close-up picture of one and used the picture as a reference for a watercolor practice in art class. The practice was supposed to be using watercolor first, then going over it with graphite, but I eventually did the graphite, used a little bit of gel pen, and then went over it with more watercolor.
Watercolor has since become one of my favorite art mediums. I love how you can layer the colors, and how there are so many techniques you can achieve with watercolor, such as wet-on-wet, dry brush techniques, using a paper towel, salt, and more.
