Darkness creeps across the sky,
As a cloak of mystery draws nigh and by.
The shadows dance in eerie delight,
As the world is consumed by the thing called night.
The moon and stars, glow lucid white,
Casting the world i ghostly light.
Yet still the darkness lingers on,
A veil of blackness, never gone.
It whispers secrets in your ear,
Skeletons only you can hear.
And in the silence of the night,
It fills your soul with quiet fright.
But with soft breaths, the dawn comes to break,
And slowly the sun begins to wake,
The darkness, blending, fades away,
Until the next,
When back to stay.
