It Rains Tears

It Rains Tears

cold
ice cold
as the water drips
slowly down
down
from your lips
heavy rain
falls from the clouds

clouds shaped like orbs
clouds with curtains fluttering
open
close

the rain
the rain
falls
ever so elegantly
the grace of a performer
maybe ballet
but the speed of light
racing and racing to get away

the face tightens
trying to control
the feelings and emotions
that can never be patrolled

a hand slips up
trying to catch
what rain falls
dripping, not able to be patched
patched like the emotions

you try to hold in

you can try to control the rain

but you can still feel it within
