While creating this photo, I wanted to contrast the shapes of the notebook, bananas, and oranges. In order to draw attention to the shapes of the different objects, I felt that it was important to minimize distractions that could draw away the attention of the eye. This is why I chose objects that shared a common color, orange, and placed them on a neutral background. Since this photo was taken at home, it was difficult to get a completely white background. After some trial and error, I eventually settled on a large drawing pad. Although this was the largest object I could find, I still faced significant challenges in eliminating the carpet from the background. I was eventually able to take this photo after many attempts.
