A realistic ballpoint pen drawing of a vase of half wilted flowers that took me several months to complete (it’s 18×24 inches) that I could definitely attach a load of philosophical and insightful meaning to, but the genuine inspiration behind this was simply the vague urge to draw flowers for the sake of drawing flowers. Not all art needs to have a deeper meaning 🙂
