Candy Hearts

Down the windy path, walk the four lovers

Fairies up high, float around misty sky

Dark and dusty, there is never cover

Saccharine bonbons sprinkled as they fly

Wrappers discarded, hearts left unguarded

Mixing the teapot, toil and trouble

Gummies, chocolates, reality is distorted

Bonds buried beneath a pile of rubble

Sugar highs more likely to quickly crash

Infatuation sinks into a grave

Connections burst making decisions rash

Left unsatisfied, they are forced to crave

Loving breaks even the strongest of teams

The worst “nightmare is dressed like a daydream”
