Hands holding soil

Isolation

Poem by Milena Jandreski ’23

Caged like an exotic species pecking the wrought iron

Extinction on the brink

Images of crowds

Bodies moving like a river

Flowing and thrashing on the streets like salmon

Returning to the earth

Mother nature’s vengeance

Bounds of flesh and bones stagnant in isolation
