Poison

Do not,

Take things for granted.

Things may go away.

Faster than expected,

Gone in a flash,

They will go away

Away from you,

And all you hold dear,

And then the day comes,

Faster than before

Ready to show you,

The pain you must be shown.

‘Tis the day,

When Flowers bloom

When Flowers die.

When People are born

When People die

When Birds fly

When Birds fly no more

‘Tis a day of sadness

And let it be a lesson

To hold those you love dear, closer than ever.

So you don’t receive the deadly dose

Of the poison,

That is regret.
